Santomatteo\'s work is part of the less tragic side of art, a romantic glorification of the value of sentiments. The choice to drop the last names represents a sort of loss of identity. The two artists have in fact never worked separately, and,artistcally they dont exist but as a couple, within which it can be difficult to distingush who is Santo and who is not. 汕头马蹄好诞生于2004年一月。 汕头马蹄好的作品较少表现艺术的悲情一面， 而是对情感价值所作的富有浪漫色彩的颂扬。 选择将姓名中的“姓”省略来表现某种身份的失落。 实际上，两位艺术家从来都没有分开过， 在艺术上也从来都是作为一对夫妻而存在的。 在创作中，我们很难分清究竟谁才是汕头。
